I came to Wylie ISD in 7th grade. I really didn't know anybody on the first day, but the students were all open to welcoming me.

I found friends through our amazing band program, as well as by participating in athletics.

The fine arts in Wylie is amazing because we get to go to special places to perform and we get lots of opportunities to showcase our skills. I like how everybody is really nice, and the teachers care about both their students academic and personal lives.

I'm proud to be called a member of Wylie ISD.

As a freshman coming into Wylie High in 2025, I wasn’t sure what high school would feel like. But this place has really surprised me.

Teachers actually care about how we’re doing, and the students here support each other. I’ve already made friends through classes and I feel like I’m growing every day.

Wylie High makes me feel confident and excited about the remainder of my high school career.

We LOVE Wylie ISD and this commUNITY! Academics, extracurriculars - all districts offer similar, BUT Wylie stands out in the people that are PRESENT.

The relationships that are created and nurtured! From the way newcomers are welcomed, received AND celebrated makes this a wonderful place to call HOME.

We are always excited to share about Wylie ISD. The teachers, staff, admin and families are diverse, approachable and seem to all be united that investing in our schools IS the future of our world.

We appreciate the thoughtful planning, intentional and consistent communication by leadership. We are proud parents of a Wylie HS grad, c/o 2023 and one more to go, c/o 2028.

We are so thankful and hope others find this experience true!

As someone who grew up in Wylie, I love how this community has grown. I'm grateful for the security we have in our school. All the staff members greet us with a smile, and most importantly they keep us safe.

In this environment, I'm not afraid to ask questions, and the teachers truly care and want the best for us. I enjoy the connections I get to make throughout the day.

I'm very grateful to be part of this community that many don't get to experience. I hope to spread this kindness to others. Thank you, Wylie ISD!

What I love about the Wylie ISD family is that everyone accepts you.

This is my favorite quote that reminds me of my Wylie ISD family: "Family isn't always blood. It's the people in your life who want you in theirs; the ones who accept you for who you are. The ones who would see you smile & who have your back no matter what."

This reminds me how other families, such as my Wylie ISD family, always have your back.

What I like most about Wylie ISD is the fact that the staff cares so much about every student and really takes the time to help and guide us in the right direction and help us prepare for the future. When a student fails they always have a helping hand to give us a boost so we don't stay down below our standards.

Last year when I was a sophomore I had a Geometry teacher by the name of Mrs. Hill. She took the time to understand me and work with me until I understood the subject instead of leaving me down to work by myself and not understand the concept of Geometry.

I have worked for Wylie ISD for a couple of years now in Special Education and it is by far the most rewarding school district there is.

Everyone is treated like family despite race, geographic background, financial differences, etc. As an employee with the district, I have been able to grow independently, learn more about myself and help others as Wylie has been able to help me.

I retired from RISD after 30 years but decided to sub in Wylie as we live here. I am so pleased with Ashley Hopson and the entire sub-system. She is so very helpful and gets right back to me when I have a question. Payroll does the same when I have a question for them. The kids at both schools are well-behaved, respectful, and seem to really want to learn. I am so happy I chose to sub in Wylie ISD. Our daughter got a wonderful education here, went off to OU, and now works for NBC and is very successful.
